Australian batter, Steven Smith, widely recognized as one of the premier players in contemporary cricket, has made an exciting move by joining Major League Cricket (MLC). Smith, who is not playing in the Indian Premier League, Smith has committed himself to compete in the United States, immediately following the T20 World Cup. He will represent the MLC side, Washington Freedom, during the upcoming 2024 season, a decision officially announced by the team on April 11th.

With 67 T20 International matches under his belt, he has amassed 1094 runs at a striking rate of 125.46.
