Cred’s latest ad campaign featuring Rajamouli and David Warner is an unlikely pairing that surprisingly clicks.

When an Oscar-winning film director teams up with a star cricketer, you don’t expect the next cinematic masterpiece. Yet, in Cred’s latest ad campaign, featuring renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli and cricket sensation David Warner, an unexpected twist unfolds to promote Cred UPI.

The ad opens with Rajamouli humorously requesting a discount from Warner for his upcoming cricket match tickets. Warner cheekily informs him that using Cred UPI automatically qualifies for a discount, prompting Rajamouli to inquire about the alternative with regular UPI. Warner playfully suggests Rajamouli would owe him a favor.

Rajamouli’s imagination takes flight, depicting Warner wreaking havoc on the set of his next major film. In a series of comical scenes, Warner transforms into various Indian characters, creating chaos and leaving Rajamouli exasperated.

Returning to reality, Rajamouli bluntly informs Warner that he’d rather download Cred UPI than fulfill his favor. The ad strikes a balance between simplicity and extravagance, characteristic of Rajamouli’s style. It offers a refreshing departure from typical fintech ads, showcasing creativity and humor, earning it a “5 star” rating.
