‘Talent is brilliant here’: Adani Gulf Giants pacer Chris Jordan lauds UAE youngsters after loss in Qualifier 2

The dream run ended, but the spirit remained undimmed. The Gulf Giants, despite a valiant effort, fell short against the Dubai Capitals in the Qualifier 2 of the DP World ILT20 Season 2, bowing out of the tournament.

But for veteran pacer Chris Jordan, it wasn’t about the final score. It was about the fight, the resilience, and the young talents who shone through the season. “We faced adversity early, but came back strong,” he said, his voice thick with pride. “And I’m especially proud of the youngsters, who found solutions and stepped up big time.”

Jordan singled out the two young UAE spinners, Aayan Afzal Khan and Zuhaib Zubair, for special praise. “Facing the world’s best and holding your own? That’s incredible,” he declared. “They’ve been a game-changer for us, and that’s exactly what you want from young guns.”

But the admiration wasn’t one-sided. Jordan lauded the entire tournament, highlighting the fierce competition and the high standards. “Every team was in the fight till the last match, that’s how intense it was,” he remarked. “It’s brilliant for the sport, and the organization was top-notch.”

Looking ahead, Jordan acknowledged the need for improvement. “We’ll regroup, analyze, and come back stronger,” he vowed. The Giants may have fallen, but their fighting spirit and the promise of young talent leave a bright spark for the future. The next season awaits, and they’ll be ready to roar again.
