SRH And Hyderabad Cricket Association Reach Agreement On Complimentary Passes

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) have resolved their dispute over complimentary passes, agreeing to maintain the existing allocation of 3,900 passes after discussions held on Tuesday.

The issue arose when SRH accused HCA of employing “blackmailing tactics” regarding additional complimentary tickets, prompting the franchise to seek intervention from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council. SRH had even threatened to move their home matches to another state if the matter remained unresolved, a claim that HCA denied.

To address the concerns, HCA Secretary R. Devraj convened a meeting with SRH officials at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. SRH representatives Kiran, Saravanan, and Rohit Suresh participated in the discussions.

“During the discussions, SRH proposed adhering to the existing tri-party agreement involving SRH, HCA, and BCCI, which stipulates that 10% of the available stadium capacity be allocated across all sections,” stated a joint release by HCA and SRH.

HCA, on its part, advocated for maintaining the current allocation of complimentary passes, in line with established tradition.

“Following thorough discussions and further telephonic deliberations with SRH CEO Mr. Shanmugam, it was agreed that the category allocation of 3,900 complimentary passes to HCA would remain unchanged,” the statement added.

HCA assured SRH of full cooperation moving forward, emphasizing a professional and collaborative approach.

“Both HCA and SRH are committed to working together harmoniously to enhance the spectator experience at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium,” the joint statement concluded.
