The prize money for the 2024 edition is out. A record prize money has been declared by the ICC for the champions.
- ICC has announced a record-breaking prize pool of US $11.25 million
- The winner is set to receive at least US $2.45 million
- The runners-up earn US $1.28 million
- The two losing semifinalists earn US $787,500 each
- An early exit in the second round fetches each team US $382,500
- Finishing between 9th and 12th spot will get $247,500 each
- For ranks between 13th and 20th will earn US $225,000
- For every match won, the team receives an additional US $31,154

ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said:
“This event is historic in so many ways, so it is fitting that the prize money for players reflects that. Hundreds of millions of fans around the world will be entertained by the players in what we’re hoping to be an Out of This World event.”
The tournament kicks off with 40 matches in the first round, followed by Super8s. In the last comes the semifinal and the final, to be played in Trinidad, Guyana and Barbados.
A total of 20 teams divided into four groups are set to take on each other for the prestigious silverware. The ninth edition of the T20 World Cup promises fans some high-octane competition.
