The Puneri Paltan marked a triumphant return to the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10, securing a resounding 34-24 victory against the Gujarat Giants in Hyderabad on Sunday. Captain Aslam Inamdar shared his perspective on the win, emphasizing the team’s focus on taking one game at a time.
Inamdar stated, “We’re not thinking about the points table at the moment. Every match is crucial for us, and we’re approaching them with dedication. Each player is fulfilling their roles and responsibilities, and we aim to maintain our performance throughout the season.”
The victory against the Gujarat Giants followed a rare defeat to the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Addressing the learnings from that game, Inamdar commented, “It’s important for us to make mistakes because we learn from them. We rectified the errors from the Jaipur Pink Panthers game in our last match. Our diligent practice before facing Gujarat paid off.”
Head Coach BC Ramesh provided insights into the team’s preparations for the Gujarat match, stating, “After the Jaipur match, we engaged in recreational games, encouraging the players to play freely. We strategically targeted Gujarat’s raiders, Parteek Dahiya and Rakesh, exploiting their weaknesses during the match.”
Ramesh expressed optimism about raider Mohit Goyat’s performance, saying, “Pankaj Mohite and Mohit Goyat have been impressive, but I expect Mohit to elevate his game further. He has the potential to be the best raider this season, and if he excels, our team will be even more outstanding.”
Looking ahead, the Puneri Paltan will face U Mumba in Hyderabad on Tuesday, ready to build on their recent success and continue their winning momentum in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10.
