Liam Livingstone(28 off 17) and Shashank Singh (9 off 7) remained unbeaten, but the Punjab side were limited to 178 by the Lucknow bowling unit.
Debutant Mayank Yadav showcased his prowess with rapid pace, proving instrumental in Lucknow Super Giants’ victory over Punjab Kings by 21 runs. Yadav consistently clocked speeds of 150 kph, posing significant challenges for Punjab Kings’ batsmen while defending the 200-run target. Yadav’s impressive debut included claiming three wickets and delivering the fastest ball of the season so far, registering at 155.8 kph, thus making a resounding statement.
With their momentum soaring, Lucknow Super Giants are set to face RCB on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, while Punjab Kings are gearing up for their next encounter against GT on Thursday, April 4, 2024, undoubtedly preparing diligently for the challenge ahead.
