The inaugural edition of the Neeraj Chopra Classic, an international javelin throw competition, has been rescheduled for July 5 and will be held at Bengaluru’s Sree Kanteerava Stadium. The event was initially planned for May 24 but was forced to be postponed due to India-Pakistan military conflict at the time.
The event is the brainchild of Neeraj Chopra. The double Olympic-medallist is organising the competition in collaboration with JSW Sports and sanctioned by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI). Neeraj himself, alongside 11 other men, will be competing at the event.

The event has granted a category A status by World Athletics, the track and field’s world governing body.

8. Luiz Mauricio da Silva (BRA) — 2023 South American Games Champion — Personal Best: 86.34m
9. Kishore Jena (IND) — 2023 Asian Games Silver medalist — Personal Best: 87.54m
10. Sachin Yadav (IND) — 2025 Asian Athletics Championship Silver medalist — Personal Best: 85.16m

The tickets for the event are available on District by Zomato App. The ticket prices for the showpiece will range from ₹199 ₹Rs 9,999. For premium experience, five corporate boxes accommodating 15 guests each are available at Rs 44,999.
