Dream Sports Announces Gaming Collaboration With Microsoft

Dream Sports, India’s leading sports technology company, has joined forces with tech giant Microsoft to enhance its gaming portfolio in India. Dream Sports and Microsoft signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit 2025 (WAVES) that was held in Mumbai from May 1 to May 4.

Together, Dream Sports and Microsoft will unlock the full potential of India’s gaming market, fueled by Dream Sports’ deep understanding of the young, tech-savvy, gaming community.

Fueling this vision is a rapidly evolving digital infrastructure and emergence of India as the second- largest mobile gaming market. By hitting the $3.8 Bn mark in FY24, India’s gaming market has developed into a massive ecosystem of close to 600 million gamers.

Esports debut at Khelo India Youth Games


Gaming and esports is constantly on rise in India and is rapidly getting acceptance among the key stakeholders of Indian sports. Esports made its debut at the Khelo India Youth Games, the seventh edition of which kick-started in Bihar last week. Popular games like Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Street Fighter 6, Chess, and eFootball will be played at the Khelo India Youth Games in both mobile and console formats.

The move will aid the state and national bodies for esports unearth and nurture the next generation of talent in the field.
