Doordarshan, India’s national public broadcaster, has announced live coverage of the current ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. This ensures that everyone in the country can watch the matches live.

The promo is created for Doordarshan National (DD National) Doordarshan Sports Channel (DD Sports) by the inhouse team at Gaon Connection – India’s biggest rural media platform and The Slow Movement.
The promo captures the true essence of Indian cricket, focusing on local scenes instead of anything foreign. It beautifully shows grounds in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, streets, neighborhoods, and stadiums. This cinematic piece perfectly reveals the real face of India and what India represents.
The promo is written, voiced and directed by Neelesh Misra, a well-known Indian journalist, author, and radio storyteller. Neelesh Misra’s voice brings in the authenticity to the promo.

The Doordarshan ICC Men’s T20 World Cup promo was introduced at a press conference in New Delhi’s National Media Center. Nilesh Misra, along with Information Secretary Sanjay Jaju, Prasar Bharati Chairman Navneet Kumar Sehgal, CEO Gaurav Dwivedi, and Doordarshan Director General Kanchan Prasad, attended the event.
