India’s men’s doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy boosted their chance of their first title of this year as they brushed aside the World No. 1 pair Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin of Malaysia in their quarterfinal fixture of the Singapore Open Super 750 on May 30, Wednesday.
Chirag and Satwik showcased superior skills and match temperament as they registered a comfortable 21-17 21-15 victory. The match merely lasted 39 minutes. The win helped Chirag and Satwik to exact revenge of the semifinal loss at the Indian Open in January this year. In that match the Malaysians emerged victorious recording an emphatic scoreline of 21-18 21-14.
