2025 F1 season: Key numbers to know before Australian GP

The 2025 Formula One season will get underway this weekend with the Australian Grand Prix. The first race of the new season will be held at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit in Melbourne.

As the 10 teams and the 20 drives gear up for a thrilling season of motor racing here are some key numbers that you should know about the upcoming season of F-1.

75: The 2025 season marks the 75 years of Formula 1.

40: Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton is now 40 years old. He will be the oldest racer competing this season. If he manages to win the World Championship with Ferrari this year, it will be the first time since 1960 that a F-1 driver has managed to clinch the world title in his 40s.

24: The 2025 season of Formula 1 will be spread across 24 races. It will be the longest season in the history of F1, matching the record set last year.

: Lewis Hamilton, the most successful driver in the Formula 1 history will be aiming a record-breaking eighth driver’s title this year.

1: An Indian driver will also be part of the 2025 season of Formula 1 as Kush Maini promoted to the reserve driver’s role at the Alpine Formula 1 team ahead of the season opener. Maini becomes the third Indian to compete in Formula 1 after Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandhok.
