Royal Challengers Bengaluru Overtakes Chennai Super Kings To Become The Most Valuable IPL Franchise

Reigning Indian Premier League champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru has become the most valuable Indian Premier League franchise according to Houlihan Lokey’s 2025 IPL Brand Valuation Study. According to the report published by the investment bank, RCB current brand value stands at $ 269million. The value has jumped by 12.9%.

RCB won their maiden IPL title earlier this year. The Rajat Patidar-led side beat Shreyas Iyer’s Punjab Kings to win the IPL 2025 final and clinch the IPL title for the first time in 18 years of its existence.

The report has also calculated the total brand value of the league. According to it, the IPL’s valuation stands at $3.9 billion.

Reliance group owned Mumbai Indians has ranked second in the study. The five-time champions which finished fourth this year has a valuation of $242 million.

Chennai Super Kings, which is owned by India Cements’ N Srinivasan is third on the list with a brand value of $235 million. CSK endured a tough season this year and finished 10th in the league. It was for the first time in its history that the “Yellow Army” ended the season at the foot of the points table.

Last year’s champions Kolkata Knight Riders have been ranked fourth with a brand valuation of $227 million. KKR could not replicate the magic of 2024 this time around as they ended the season at the eighth place. Sunrisers Hyderabad are fifth in the valuation ranking with a total brand value of $154 million.

Punjab Kings who were the runner-up this year have a brand value of $141 million and are placed ninth. Taking the tenth spot in the brand valuation ranking is Lucknow Super Giants as the franchise has been valued at $122 million.

Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans take the sixth, seventh and the eighth spot with a brand value of $152 million, $ 146 million and $142 million respectively.
