WHO PREPARED THE PITCHES AND OUTFIELD AT NASSAU COUNTY STADIUM?The cricket pitch is a drop-in type, like those at Adelaide Oval in Australia. The Adelaide Oval’s head curator oversaw pitch preparation, while US sports turf experts handled the outfield. Materials were shipped from Adelaide to Georgia, then to Florida, and finally transported by road to New York. HOW IS NASSAU COUNTY STADIUM DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CRICKET VENUES?It’s a temporary stadium made of steel and aluminum, designed for easy assembly and disassembly after the tournament. It can seat 34,000 spectators and includes all necessary facilities and safety features.
